Determine the business requirements of the system

Define the system requirements of the company and the deliverables this project will facilitate.

Secure Connect is an application that will allow Physicians to host online group therapy sessions, while maintaining the right to privacy and HIPAA regulations.

Functional business requirements

Invitation link – This link will be an email sent to the patient by the Therapist after an office visit and recommendation.

System requirements – Upon clicking the invitation link directions will be provided to the patient on how to check if the OS is updated, popup blocker is off, sound is on and working camera is available. Software will be provided for download which will include the video platform and multi-factor encryption.

Privacy acknowledgement – Patient will need to read and acknowledge all privacy guidelines before continuing to enrollment.

Session Enrollment – Patient will fill out necessary forms to sign up for upcoming therapy sessions.

Patient charts – Patients will only be able to review their own office visit notes, medications, upcoming visits, prior visits, therapist notes, recommendations and prescription refill notifications.

Crisis Hotline /Emergency Chat- Link will be available to click for hotline numbers or the option to chat.

Individual Assessments – Patients will be able to take short assessments on current feeling and moods. Based on calculation feedback will be given with suggestive coping skills or words of affirmation.

Nonfunctional business requirements

Emergency chat option – Patients will not be able to chat amongst each other

Recommendation center – Information is specific to patient’s zip code, only the Physician can change a zip code.

Prescription refill – View only

Discussion boards – Only available during live sessions data is no longer available for patients after session. Copy is sent automatically to Physician when session is closed.

Response time – Session link is unavailable after 10 mins into the session

Multifactor authentication – Automatic updates prompted, unable to bypass.

Release of information – Print option only available after request- active 4 hours before greyed out.

System encryption update- required update at midnight daily.
