Personal Experience

Project Managers are the most responsible member of a project management team who is responsible for the initiation, controlling, planning, execution, design, monitoring and closure of the project. As per my perspective, he should be able to encourage and communicate the transformation and change necessities within the workplace through new delivery of capability from the project in tandem. The manager should have the qualities of leadership that can help him in managing successfully the whole project. Thus, according to my view, he should be able to develop an outstanding coordination and communication with the team members in regards to the project manager’s leadership qualities. As per my viewpoint, the project manager has shared a clear vision and inspired as well the other members of tjhe project management team by implementing a strong coordination with the members. Apart from that, the project manager should have enthusiasm as well as positive attitude and he should be very good in building a team so that the project team’s productivity can be increased. As per my personal experience, the most important skill for the project manager is the decision making and the RALS Rostering project’s project manager has made decisions successfully in relation to the implementation of the project. The ability to receive and deliver the constructive review and listening to other members are also pivotal for the project leader. Thus, according to my point of view the project manager of RALS Rostering project has met successfully most of the skills and qualities of leadership during the implementation of the whole project.

Project Requirements

As per my concept, the ICT project managers in the IT profession should have some important skills and should adopt required methods and techniques. Thus, he should have the coping, management, technical and personal skills. According to the personal skills, he should have sustain and motivate people in a team. Apart from that, according to my view, the project manager should have the idea about the technical tools in terms of managing a specific project. As per my perspective, the project manager is the major technical contributor in a certain ICT project. Besides that, he should also have the crucial and important management skills in terms of driving the project development to the proper direction. He should also know the operations with the software tools of project management and should also have control on the execution of the project. He should aim on the performance management skills. As per my perspective, I think that the project manager should have the coping skills such as flexibility, patience and persistency and he should be able to handle huge amount of constant stress.
